The Houston Astros are planning to rent bench coach Joe Espada as their supervisor, in response to more than one experiences.

Espada will take over for Dusty Baker, who retired in October after the Astros were eradicated by the Texas Rangers within the ALCS. Baker managed 26 MLB seasons and led the Astros to a World Series championship in 2022.

Espada, forty eight, performed nine seasons of youth league baseball from 1996-2006. After retiring as a participant, he worked as a coach for the Miami Marlins and Contemporary York Yankees earlier than becoming a member of the Astros in 2018 below A.J. Hinch. He remained with the crew when Baker took over as supervisor in 2020.
